​Obadiah 

The meaning of Obadiah is "servant of Yah; Slave of Yah" Also known as Abdias, is a biblical prophet. The authorship of the Book of Obadiah is traditionally attributed to the prophet Obadiah. Obadiah is supposed to have received the gift of prophecy for having hidden the "hundred prophets" (1 Kings 18:4) from the persecution of Jezebel.He hid the prophets in two caves, so that if those in one cave should be discovered those in the other might yet escape (1 Kings 18:3-4). He is said to have been born in "Sychem" (Shechem), and to have been the third captain sent out by Ahaziah against Elijah (2 Kings 1).​

​OBAL 

The meaning of Obal is "Bulky, Bare: Not Clouded, Not Covered" Obal is one of many sons of Joktan, the brother of Peleg (Genesis 10:28) (1 Chronicles 1:22). ​

​OBED 

The meaning of Obed is "Servant of God, worshipper" a son of Boaz and Ruth (Ruth 4:21–22), the father of Jesse, and the grandfather of David. He is named as one of Jesus' ancestors in the genealogies recorded in the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 1:5) and the Gospel of Luke (Luke 3:32).

​OBED-EDOM 

The meaning of Obed-Edom is "servant of Edom; servant of the blood" Obed-Edom was a man who understood the importance of the blood on the mercy seat. It is likely that while the ark was in his house, he gave burnt offerings to the Lord, and the Lord blessed Obed-Edom so that he could give more burnt offerings unto Him (2 Samuel 6:10-12) (1 Chronicles 15:25).​

​OBOTH 

The meaning of Oboth is "" A place on the Israelite route in the wilderness, associated with Punom and Zalmonah (Numbers 33:40-43), which the Israelites reached after leaving Egypt (Numbers 21:9-11).​

​ODED 

The meaning of Oded is "encouragement" The father of Azariah the prophe. He was from Samaria, and met the army of the northern kingdom of Israel, who were returning with captives from Judah (2 Chronicles 15:1) (2 Chronicles 28:9).​

​OG 

The meaning of Og is "a lump of dough thrown on the hot coals" An Amorite king of Bashan who was slain along with his army by Moses and his men at the battle of Edrei (Numbers 21:33) (Deuteronomy 1:4).​

​OHAD 

The meaning of Ohad is "loved one" Ohad was the third son of Simeon (Genesis 46:10) (Exodus 6:15). ​

​OHEL 

The meaning of Ohel is "tent" Ohel is the name of the fourth son of Zerubbabel (1 Chronicles 3:20).​​

​OkRAN (​OcRAN)

The meaning of Okran is "troubled" An Asherite and the father of Pagiel who counted Israel in a census (Numbers 1:13).​

​OLYMPAS 

The meaning of Olympas is "Heavenly" The name of a Roman Christian to whom Paul sent greetings (Romans 16:15). Olympas is regarded in the Eastern Orthodox Church as being one of the Seventy disciples.​

​OMAR 

The meaning of Omar is "eloquent" or "gifted speaker" Omar was the name of a man mentioned in the Bible, the ancestor of a Semitic Edomite and Canaanite clan, the son of Eliphaz (Genesis 36:11). Omar's brothers were Teiman (Yemmen), Zepho, Ga'atam, Kenaz and Amalek (1 Chronicles 1:36).​

​OMEGA 

The meaning of Omega​ is "the final part; the end" The title Alpha and Omega carries the thought as “ The first and the last “ and “ the beginning and the end “. When those terms are used with reference to God (Revelation 1:8) (Revelation 21:6) (Revelation 22:13). When those terms are used with reference to God. It means , before Him there was no almighty God, and there will be none after Him Which means forever vindicated as the one and only almighty God (Isaiah 44: 6).​

​OMRI 

The meaning of Omri is "sheaf of grain" One of the most important rulers of the northern kingdom, king of Israel, father of Ahab, and founder of a dynasty that remained in power for some 50 years. Omri is mentioned briefly and unfavourably in the Hebrew Bible (1 Kings 16) (Micah 6:16).​

​ONAN 

The meaning of Onan is "Pain, force, iniquity" Onan was the second son of Judah who married the daughter of Shuah the Canaanite (Genesis 38:4). Onan had an older brother Er and a younger brother, Shelah as well. After being commanded by his father, Judah, to procreate with the late Er's wife Tamar, Onan instead "spilled his seed on the ground whenever he went in" because "the offspring would not be his", and was thus put to death by Yahweh (Genesis 38:8-10). ​

​ONESIMUS 

The meaning of Onesimus is "Profitable, useful" Onesimus, on the other hand, was a useless runaway slave who had offended his master (Philemon 1:5-10) (Philemon 1:5-10). According to Ambrosiaster, Paul returned Onesimus to his master as somebody whose sins have been forgiven and who has become useful​

​ONESIPHORUS 

The meaning of Onesiphorus is "bringing profit; useful" A Christian referred to in the New Testament letter of Second Timothy (2 Timothy 1:15-18) and (2 Timothy 4:19). According to the letter sent by Paul, Onesiphorus sought out Paul who was imprisoned at the time in Rome.​

​ONO 

The meaning of Ono is "ability; strength; virility; vigor; substance; wealth; riches; brilliance" Ono was a biblical town of Benjamin in the "plain of Ono" ​(1 Chronicles 8:12) (Ezra 2:33).​

​OPHEL 

The meaning of Ophel is "fortified hill or risen area" Ophel was on the eastern ridge, which descends south of the Temple, and probably near the middle of it (2 Chronicles 27:3) (2 Chronicles 33:14) (2 Chronicles 33:14). Two kings of Judah, Jotham and Manasseh, are described to have massively strengthened the ophel fortifications, leading to the conclusion that this must have been an area of great strategic importance​

The meaning of Ophir is "gold"

The meaning of Ophni is "mouldy" An important city of Benjamin (Joshua 18:24), it was second only to Jerusalem.​

​OPHRAH 

The meaning of Ophrah is "a fawn" A city of Benjamin (Joshua 18:23), probably identical with Ephron (2 Chron 13:19) and Ephraim (John 11:54), the modern Palestinian city of Taybeh. The Israeli settlement of Ofra is close to the site as well.​

​OREB 

The meaning of Oreb is "raven" Oreb and Zeeb were two Midianite princes, Zeeb means wolf (Judges 7:25). Oreb and Zeeb were raiding Israel with the use of swift camels, until they were decisively defeated by Gideon (Judges 7:20–25). Many of the Midianites perished along with him (Psalm 83:12) (Isaiah 10:26).​

The meaning of Oren is "pine tree, ash tree" Oren is one of the sons of Jerahmeel, the first-born of Hezron, along with Ram, Bunah, Ozem and Ahijah (1 Chronicles 2:25)​

​ORPAH 

The meaning of Orpah is "neck; fawn​" Orpah is a woman from Moab, and was the daughter-in-law of Naomi and wife of Chilion (Ruth 1:4). After the death of her husband, Orpah and her sister-in-law Ruth wished to go to Judea with Naomi. However, Naomi tried to persuade both Ruth and Orpah to return to their people and to their gods. Ruth chose to remain with Naomi, but Orpah chose to return to her people and her gods (Ruth 1:14).​

​OTHNI 

The meaning of Othni is "My time, my hour;lion of Jehovah" Son of Shemaiah, the first-horn of Obed-edom. (1 Chronicles 26:7)​

​OTHNIEL 

The meaning of Othniel is "God's strength, God's lion" A member of the tribe of Caleb, delivered the erring Israelites from eight years of oppression by Cushan-rishathaim, king of Mesopotamia (Joshua 15:16-18) (Judges 3:10).​

​OZEM 

The meaning of Ozem is "That fasts, their eagerness" 

​OZIAS (UZZIAH)

The meaning of Ozias is "My strength is God" Ozias is a variation of the Biblical name Uzziah. Son and successor of Amaziah, and king of Judah for 52 years (2 Chronicles 26)​

​OZNI 

The meaning of Ozni is "An ear, my hearkening" A descendant of Gad, the seventh son of Jacob and the first one of Zilpah, and by the time of the second census of Israel, his progeny had become a sub-clan in his tribe, namely that of the, the Oznites, which is spelled the same as the name Ozni (Numbers 26:16).​
